ZSI Recruitment 2016 – Walk-In Interview for Research Fellow and Field Assistant Post. Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) is an organization which is functioning under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. They had unveiled a recruitment notification to meet the requirement of eminent personalities to engage them under the designation of Junior Research Fellow and Field Assistant.

The positions existing in ZSI are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. The chosen candidates based on their performance will be engaged for a period of one year and it may be extended for further period(s) based on their satisfactory performance.
The selection procedure will comprise of interview only. The appointees will be responsible to assist the project staffs during data collections in the field and other research works etc.

Academic qualifications for ZSI Vacancies
Candidates who are interested to begin your career in ZSI for the post of Junior Research Fellow and Field Assistant must have accomplished Master’s degree/ B.Sc under the disciplines of Zoology or Life Sciences with Zoology as a main subject.
Those aspirants should have secured minimum 60% of aggregate marks from any recognized University. NET qualification is preferred for the position of Junior Research Fellow.
Experience Desired for ZSI Recruitment
All those applicants for the above mentioned posts in ZSI must hold research experience in field data collections in insects, taxonomy and ecology. Additionally basic computer knowledge and application in GIS is required for those candidates.
Selection Criteria of ZSI
According to the interviewee performance they are chosen and appointed in the concerned positions. The participants of selection (interview) will not receive any travel or dearness allowance.
Age Restriction for ZSI Vacancies
The age of the individuals is capped off at 28 years for the post of Junior Research Fellow and 40 years for the position of Field Assistant. The age relaxation will be applicable for the categories of SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women up to 5 years as per the rules of Government of India.
Remuneration Admissible in ZSI
The NET qualified individuals who are appointed for the position of Junior Research Fellow will accept a salary of Rs.25000/-. In case the appointees are not qualified in NET examination, they will receive a salary of Rs.16000/-.
In addition to that, they will get 20% of House rent Allowance (HRA). Appointment offered for the post of Field Assistant should be paid with a fixed emolument of Rs.8000/- for the designee.

Aspirants who are satisfying the above eligibility criteria’s can walk-in with the duly filled-in application form with attested copies of testimonials related to qualifications, experience, date of birth etc. and mark sheets in the specified venue.
