About 272 openings are to be filled including backlog and current vacancies. Eligible staffs will get selected for this Tamil Nadu Teacher Educational Service on regular basis. Candidates hired for Senior Lecturer / Lecturer positions will be placed in SCERT and Junior Lecturer vacancies are going to be filled in Government Teacher Training Institutes and DIET.

Teachers Recruitment Board will scrutinize the received applications and only such candidates can appear for Written Examination. TRB Lecturer Posts Desirable Qualifications
Candidates those who had completed their Master’s Degree with 50% marks and M.Ed. with not less than 55% marks in relevant subjects from recognized university are only eligible to apply, for Lecturer jobs.
Essential Experiences for Lecturer Posts
Persons applying for Senior Lecturer vacancies must have gained 5 years of working experience as a Lecturer/ Junior Lecturer in concerned fields from any reputed institutions.
Age Confinement of Lecturer Jobs
The Tamil Nadu Recruitment Board (TRB) has set the upper age limit for Lecturer jobs as 57 years. The cut-off date for determining maximum age is July 31, 2016. Individuals exceeding the above mentioned age limit are not eligible to apply.
TRB Recruitment Selection Procedure
The two stages involved in selection process are Written Examination and Certificate Verification. Initial screening may be done to shortlist the number of applicants for Written Test. Only the screened candidates will be permitted to appear for this exam. The roll numbers of qualified candidates in test will be displayed in TRB official website.
Such candidates should produce their original documents for Document Verification. The documents will be verified on separate day for each post, by the User department of TRB. Final decision on appointment will be entirely based on TRB authorities.

Exam Pattern of TRB Lecturer Posts
The Written Test would be conducted for 3 hours duration with questions from Main Subject (70), Education Methodology (70) and General Knowledge (10). The test is planned for a total mark of 150, by TRB. Question papers will be available in Tamil and English languages.
Lecturers Scale of Pay
The persons selected for Senior Lecturer designation shall get a salary of Rs.15600 – 39100/- as per Pay Band – 3 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.5700/-. But, the individuals hired for Lecturer and Junior Lecturer positions are provided with a Pay Band – 2 salary of Rs.9300 – 34800/-.
The Grade Pay allotted for Lecturer post is Rs.4800/- and for Junior Lecturer designation the appointees would get Rs.4600/- per month.
TRB Recruitment Examination Fee
The SC/ ST and Disabled applicants should deposit a fee of Rs.250/- and all others should pay a fee of Rs.500/- in any branches of Indian Bank/ IOB/ Canara Bank using Challan form. The challan form will contain fee details, application number and account number. The applicants should write date of payment and Bank name in the application form, after payment.
How to Apply for Lecturer Posts
Eligible aspirants can receive the OMR application form in person from “Office of Chief Educational Officer (CEO)” on concerned districts of applicants in Tamil Nadu, by paying a fee of Rs.50/- in cash.
Paste a recent passport size photograph in form and don’t sign above it. Any details mentioned by candidates on outside the boxes will not be considered because it is a computer readable application. Do not fold the application form and enclose it in an envelope.
The duly filled form should be submitted to the office of respective CEO in your district. Take photocopy of filled application form before submission and also receive the acknowledgement slip in prescribed format after submission of form, for future reference.
