Educational Qualification for TNPSC Posts
Individuals who wish to apply for the Computer Operator post must have persuaded any Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications from a reputed university or institution.
For the other positions, the applicants should have qualified any Bachelor Degree in the field of Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medicine or any similar disciplines from an accredited university in Indian Union.
In addition to the above qualifications, the candidates who have applied for the Personal Assistant, Computer Operator and typist Posts must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Shorthand and typewriting in English or Tamil or both by higher grades.
Apart from this, the applicant should hold a computer course certificate in Office Automation, conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education.
Age Restrictions on 317 TNPSC Vacancies
The minimum age required to apply for the above mentioned positions is 18 years. The important date for computing the age of the applicant will be as on 1st July 2016.
The upper age limit of the general candidates is fixed to 30 years, 35 years for the SC/ SC (Arunthathiyars), ST (MBC)/ Denotified Communities, BC and BC (Muslims) and 45 years for candidates who are already serving in Madras High Court & Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service.
Recruitment Scheme for TNPSC High Court
The recruitment process consists of written test, Skill test and Oral Test. The applications submitted through the online shall be scrutinized by the selection committee. The shortlisted candidates shall be acknowledged about the written exam through registered email address or phone number.

The candidates who have applied for the Personal Assistant and Clerk post should take a test on general studies only. For the remaining posts, the question paper (Paper-I) comprises of General Studies and General English or Tamil.
Additionally, for the computer operator post alone the applicants have to appear for the Paper-II which consists of questions from Computer Applications.
Pay Scale for 317 TNPSC Employees
The picked out candidates will be posted either in Principal Seat at Madras or at Madurai Bench Madras High Court or Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy (TNSJA) or Regional Centers of TNSJA at Madurai or Coimbatore.
The person hired as personal assistant (Honorable Judge) will get paid as per the scale of Rs.15600 to 39100/- per month with grade pay of Rs.5400/- and Rs. 9300 to 34800/- pm with grade of Rs.4600/- for the Personal Assistant (Registrar) Posts.
Candidates appointed as Xerox Operator will be paid as per pay band of Rs. 4800 to 10000/- pm with grade pay of Rs.1650/- and the for the remaining positions the salary will be as per the scale of Rs.5200 to 20200/- pm with grade pay between Rs.2400 to 2800/- according to the rules of TNPSC.
Application Fee for TNPSC High Court Jobs
The fee payment can be made by means of online or offline mode (State Bank or Indian Bank). The one time registration charge of Rs.50/- is mandatory for all candidates and Rs.100/- application fee has to be paid by general category candidates alone. Candidates belonging to the other categories are exempted from the fee payment.
