Preference shall be given to individuals who had successfully accomplished the Apprenticeship training certificate under GOI/ State Government scheme. Essential Qualification for TNPSC Jobs
Persons possessing Diploma/ Degree certificate on concerned Fisheries disciplines are eligible to apply for Sub-Inspector jobs under TNPSC recruitment.
The minimum expected qualification for Foreman position is Degree/ Diploma/ Post-Diploma on Mechanical Engineering/ Diesel Traction streams from recognized university. For Foreman post, first priority shall be given to aspirants who had acquired a training course certificate on Boat Building Foreman subject.
Experience Details for Foreman Post
Experience is not a mandatory one for TNPSC Fisheries Service recruitment. But, individuals with experience in Marine Diesel Enginer (atleast for 2 years) field shall be given more preference, for Foreman job.
Aspirants those who have completed 18 years of age as on 1st July 2016 should only respond for this advertisement. But, the maximum age limit has also been set for Sub-Inspector post as 30 years and 35 years for Foreman designation.
Note: There is no age limit for SC/ SC (A)/ ST/ MBC/ DC/ BC/ BCM category individuals.
Selection Process of TNPSC Fisheries Service Recruitment
Written Examination has been scheduled by TNPSC to hire knowledgeable individuals for Sub Inspector/ Foreman posts. The examination shall be conducted on two papers (different timings), which are Optional Subject and General Studies. After reviewing the academic records and performance in test, final selection would be done based on merit marks.
Pay Scale of TNPSC Appointees
Candidates chosen for the Sub Inspector/ Foreman jobs under Tamil Nadu Fisheries Subordinate Service Department shall be awarded with the salary of Rs.9300 – 34800/- (Pay Band – 2) per month. The Grade Pay fixed for these positions is Rs.4400/- as per TNPSC rules.
TNPSC Fisheries Service Recruitment Application Fee
Persons those who had not registered before for TNPSC examinations should pay Rs.50/- (one time registration fee) along with the Examination Fee of Rs.100/-, to apply for Sub Inspector/ Foreman jobs under Tamil Nadu Fisheries Service Department. Others are advised to remit the examination fee only through online/ offline mode.
