Essential Qualification for Grade B Officer Post
Any Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 60% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ ST/ PWD) or any equivalent grade in overall semester exams are eligible to apply for the Officer Position. The applicants must have graduated from any government approved university or institute only.
Age Confinement on RBI Vacancies
RBI has set certain age limits to apply for the Officer Position. The age limit of the applicant should be within 21 to 30 years. For the Candidates holding M.Phil and PhD qualification, higher age limit shall be 32 & 34 tears and the candidates who have already worked at RBI can get relaxation upto 33 years.
The above given age limits can be relaxed upto 3 years for OBC category, 5 years for SC/ ST /Ex-servicemen/ Domiciles in Jammu & Kashmir and 10 years for candidates coming below the General PWD (13 years for PWD-OBC & 15 years for PWD-SC / ST) category.
RBI Grade B Officer Selection Scheme
To achieve the officer position at RBI, individuals have to qualify in the phase-I, Phase-II and interview process. With reference to the online application form, the RBI selection panel will screen the eligible candidates for online exams. The acknowledgement for the Phase-I exam shall be send through registered email id or SMS.
The candidates securing the minimum qualifying mark in the phase-I will be shortlisted for the Phase-II examination. Phase-II exam is the qualifying nature for viva voice which consists of objective type questions and descriptive part as well.
Based on minimum cutoff of marks and available vacancies in the concern designation, the candidates will be screened for final recruitment process. The marks secured by contenders in phase-II exam and interview shall be added and merit list will be prepared finally.
Online Exam Pattern for RBI Recruitment
Phase-I online examination comprises of objective question from General Awareness, English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning for a total of 200 marks (120 minutes). Howbeit, for the Phase-II Examination, there will be 3 sections i.e. Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III.
Paper-III consists of descriptive part (100 marks), which is to validate the English fluency and typing skills of the participants. Objective type question shall be asked from Economic & Social Issues (100 marks) and Finance & Management (100 marks).
Pay Scale for Grade B Officers Vacancy
Candidates who have overcome all the recruitment process successfully shall be designated as Officers at various branches of RBI. The officers will receive payment in accordance with pay scale of Rs.35150 to 62400/- per month.
With addition to this basic pay, the designees are permissible for dearness allowance, house rent allowance, family & Grade allowance, telephone charges, medical expenses, etc as per the RBI’s decree in force.
Registration Fee for RBI Exam
The registration fee can be transmitted only by means of online mode like net banking, debit card and credit cards. Applicants belonging to the unreserved and OBC category have to remit Rs.850/- and Rs.100 for the SC / ST and PWD category. RBI employees are exempted from the fee payment.

- Enter your Name, contact details and E-mail id. A provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated.
- Login by using this number to edit your online form
- Upload your soft copy of Photo and signature.
- While completing each section click on the “Save and Next” option to unsure that the details given are correct.
