Essential Degree for Railtel Careers

Aspirers who are willing to apply for the Railtel Careers must have completed BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc in Electronics & Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Information technology/ Electrical Engineering or M.Sc in Electronics or any similar qualifications from a widely known university/ institution.

Age Limitations on Railtel Positions

Candidates who have attained the age of 21 years as on the date 1st July 2016 are eligible to apply for Railtel Positions. Moreover, the upper age limit for the OBC category applicant should be 31 years, 33 years for SC/ ST, 34 years for OBC Ex-servicemen (36 for SC/ ST), 41 years for OBC (PWD) and 43 years for SC/ ST (PWD) as per government norms.

Railtel Selection Process

After verifying the applications, candidates who found to be eligible will be shortlisted on the basis of GATE 2016 scores. The shortlisted person shall be invited for interview, which will take place on different centers.

Based on individual’s performance at the interview, the final selection will be made by Railtel management. However, the shortlisted candidates should satisfy the medical standards of Railtel.

Salary Details for Railtel Appointees

The selected talents should undergo probation for a period of 2 years from the date of joining. During the service period, the Railtel appointees will get salary as per the pay scale of Rs.16400 to 40500/- per month.

Railtel Application Fee

Except SC /ST/ PWD category applicants, all the other candidates have to pay a non refundable fee of Rs.1000/- in the shape of demand draft , drawn in favour of ‘ Railtel Corporation of India Limited’ payable at Delhi .
