Educational/ Technical Details for Assistant Post
Ex-servicemen who has qualified in 10th, 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as one of the subject from a well known board or Diploma in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics and Communication or Bachelor Degree in Science or Engineering in the related fields are desirable for this designation.
Skills for 64 Security Assistant Posts
The candidates must have sufficient knowledge in handling/ installation/ maintenance of microprocessor based access control system/ CCTV system/ anti-sabotage equipment/ computer controlled radio communication system/ electronics instruments/ handling of UNIX/ AIX etc to work as Security Assistant at Parliament.
Higher Age Limits for Assistant Openings
The Ex-servicemen’s age limit is curbed to 45 years as on 5th September 2016. There won’t be any age restriction for the applicants who has served continuously for 3 years at Lok Sabha Secretariat.
Selection Procedure for 64 Security Assistants
The Joint Recruitment cell will collect the documents send by the candidates for verification. After verifying the certificates and testimonials submitted by the supplicants, the deserving candidates shall be invited for the interview.
The interview will be held at Delhi only and the date will be mentioned individually to the selected candidates. The interviewer will scrutinize the interviewee’s performance by means of attitude, work knowledge and communication skills. Based on the availability of positions, the perfect talents will be selected finally.
Interview Pattern for Security Assistant
The Personal Interview will be conducted for 100 marks. The minimum pass mark for the general category candidates will be 50%, 45% for OBC category and 40% for the SC/ST divisions. Anyhow, the cutoff marks shall be increased depending upon the number of vacancies.
Pay Band for 64 Security Assistant Posts
The highly talented Ex-servicemen will be appointed as Security Assistants at Lok Sabha Secretariat. The monthly wages shall be paid as per the pay scale of Rs.9300 to 34800/- per month with a grade pay of Rs.4200/- as per the ordinances issued by Parliament of India.
Job Responsibilities for Security Assistants
The duty of the Security Assistants is to manage High Bandwidth Wide Area Network, Network Security & Redundancy, Maintenance of Windows Server, IBM Server, Backup Strategy, Disaster Recovery, etc.
Other activities like regular backups, update anti-virus software, install application software, Database administration, etc should be performed by the appointees.
