Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) under the administrative control of Nagaland Government has released a vacancy notification to grab the attention of job hunters, regarding the extant openings in various police departments. This has been notified in the commission’s website and Nagaland Government web portal.

Qualifications Required for NPSC Posts
Aspiring candidates of NPSC Recruitment for the above mentioned positions must have accomplished Bachelor’s degree in any discipline including Divinity. The degree must be completed from any recognized University.
Physical Standards for DSP Post in NPSC
The applicants should have good sound health and free from organic defects. He/ She should also possess the minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches and 33 inches chest measurement. It will be relaxed for ST/ SC candidates.
Age Confinement for NPSC Recruitment
Persons applying for the aforesaid positions in NPSC must have attained a maximum age limit between 21 to 30 years. The age relaxation of 5 years is granted for the applier’s who are coming under the category of SC/ ST.
For Government Servants, the age relaxation shall be admissible, that is equal to the number of years they are in service, subject to a maximum of 5 years.
Selection Technique Followed by NPSC
The selection process will comprise of three stages, which includes Preliminary examination, main examination and Interview/ Viva-voce. If the candidates are passed in the above two examinations they are subjected to interview.
The selection committee assesses the interviewee’s by their overall intelligence, personality, aptitude and attitude relevant to the service. The opted candidates are appointed for the aforementioned posts.
At this stage they must produce the attested photocopies of documents including the age proof (HSLC/ Matriculation/ Equivalent admit card), mark sheets, passing certificate, disability, Indigenous Inhabitant certificate, No Objection certificate for current employees.
NPSC Recruitment Examination Pattern
For preliminary examination, there will be one common paper of General Studies with total marks of 200 for a duration of 2 hours. The questions will be in objective form. Main examination will comprise of three papers related to English and General Studies. Questions will be in both objective and descriptive form.

Emoluments for NPSC Designees
Appointment offered to the aspirants for the designations of Assistant Commissioner and Deputy Superintendent of Police will receive a pay band-3 of Rs.15600-39100/- with additional grade pay of Rs.5400/-.
For other positions, the designators will accept the pay scale in the order of Rs.9300-34800/- for Secretariat Assistant post and Rs.5200-20200/- for Record Keeper post. The grade pay allowed to them is Rs.4200/- and Rs.2800/- respectively.

- Initially the applicants have to upload the scanned photograph and signature.
- Fill all the particulars in the application form (eForm).
- The columns marked as * are mandatory or compulsory filled.
- After submitting the application form, click ‘Preview’ button to review all the details for correctness.
- After ensuring all the details are correct, proceed for online payment.
- Choose any of the payment option, either in Debit card, Internet Banking, Credit Card.
- If the payment status shows ‘completed’ the form has been successfully completed or it shows ‘Pending’ the applier make the payment again.
- He/ She applying must note down the “Transaction ID” in their eForm for downloading the admission certificate and for future reference.
Note: Final year students who are waiting for results are also eligible to apply.
Application Fee for NPSC Vacancies
