NBSSLUP Recruitment 2016 – Walk-in Interview for Junior Research Fellow Position. National Bureau of Soil Survey & Land Use Planning (NBSSLUP) functioning underneath Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has scheduled a walk-in interview for Junior Research Fellow posts regarding the openings existing in a newly undertaken project funded by Department of Science & Technology (DST), Indian Government.
Aspirants serving in any other organizations can also attend the interview, by producing necessary certificates received from employer. The postings will be in places like Nagpur and Bangalore branches of NBSSLUP. This is a temporary job in which the appointees can continue in JRF position only upto 1 year. Extension of Contract period till March 2019 would also be done, based on decision of management.
Also it is notable that, selected candidates may have to register for Ph.D in any UGC recognized institution as per orders of funding agency (DST). The details regarding eligibility conditions and application format are provided in below section.

Project Title of NBSSLUP
The candidates selected for Junior Research Fellow designation will get an opportunity to work in “Hyperspectral Remote Sensing in Characterization & Mapping of Red and Associated Soils of Southern India” under Networked project on “Big Data Analytics-Hyperspectral Data”.
NBSSLUP Recruitment Essential Qualifications
Aspirants in possession of M. Sc on relevant streams are eligible to attend the walk-in interview for Junior Research Fellow posts. Persons those who have studied Bachelor’s Degree (3 years) and Master’s Degree (2 years) in Basic Sciences must possess valid NET qualification.
Desirable Experiences for Junior Research Fellow Job
Candidates coming for NBSSLUP’s walk-in interview should have obtained necessary experiences in Remote Sensing, GIS, Soil Analysis and Database Management/ Field Survey from any reputed firm.
NBSSLUP Walk-in Drive Age Limitations
Individuals those who had not exceeded an age of 35 years will only get a chance to attend NBSSLUP’s interview on scheduled date. Age compromise is admissible to SC/ ST/ Women (5 years) and OBC aspirants (3 years) as per guidelines received from government.
NBSSLUP Selection Procedure
Persons desiring to work in NBSSLUP’s project can appear for interview on notified date. While coming for interview, competitors should bring a detailed bio-data, latest passport size photograph and original & self signed copies of Qualification, Experience, Research work done during PG, Date of Birth, Category, NOC (if any), etc.
Aspirants having essential knowledge and skills in expected fields shall only get appointed to JRF position.
Emoluments of NBSSLUP Appointees
As per orders received from DST/ ICAR, NBSSLUP has fixed Rs.25000/- salary for first two years of commitment and in the third year onwards a salary of Rs.28000/- will be provided for candidates designated in position of Junior Research Fellow. In addition to the aforementioned pay, House Rent Allowance is also applicable to hired personnel’s.
