Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B) is the main body for formulating  and administering of rules/ laws related to information, broadcasting, press and films in India. Central Board of Film certification is the other important body under this ministry. Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP), one of its Media Unit located in Chandigarh requires 4 employees for Field Publicity Assistant post to undertake the Field publicity programmes in rural areas. The notice published for this purpose says fluency in Hindi & Punjabi languages and knowledge about social work in rural areas will be an additional plus to applicants.

Aspirants having the ability to work on photo/ video editing software are most preferable for this Ministry of I&B jobs. Selected candidates will be placed on any of its units during their service. Job requirements and applying procedure are given on below section.

Eligible Qualification

Candidates who had studied full time Degree from any government approved institution are eligible to apply for Field Publicity Assistant designation. A valid driving licence (light) and knowledge in Computer Operation are the desirable qualities for this post.

Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Desirable Experience

Apart from the above mentioned qualification, a training/ experience certificate in Audio Visual Equipment/ Public Address System, etc. is obligatory to engage as Field Publicity Assistant.

Age Limitation

Minimum age limit to enter into Field Publicity Assistant job is 20 years and the ceiling age is 35 years. Last date of application submission is the cut-off date for reckoning capped age.

But as per orders received from Central Government, 3 years age relaxation will be given to OBC candidates and 5 years for SC category & Government Servants.

If the appliers are found eligible, then they would be intimated about the Written Test schedule (or) the same will be published in the official site of recruiting organization. Such aspirants should submit the original certificates to concerned recruitment authority, for verification (on test date).

Physically fit candidates (as per standards fixed by organization) shall only get appointed to Field Publicity Assistant post, finally.

Pay Scale of Field Publicity Assistant Post

Selected persons will be placed on probation for 2 years duration in the Regional Office of DFP, to measure their ability and performance. The salary scale allotted for Field Publicity Assistant position is Rs.5200 – 20200/- per month. Grade Pay and other allowances would also be provided as per rules.

Take printout copy of prescribed proforma given in official site of Ministry of I&B. Fill the form and paste a recent passport size photograph in it (duly attested Gazetted Officer). Bind the self signed copies of Educational Qualification (certificates & mark sheets), Date of Birth, Caste, NOC (if any), etc. with the filled-in application.

Along with the above said attachments, enclose one self addressed envelope (with Rs.25/- postal stamp affixed). Forward these documents to “Assistant Director, DFP, Kendriya Sadan, Sector 9-A, Chandigarh – 160 009” before last date.
