Karnataka TET Exam 2016 Apply for Teacher Examination. Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET) was introduced by the Indian Government, to improve the quality standards in teaching. This entrance exam has been formulated to fulfill and achieve the goals of Right of Children to Free & Compulsory Education Act. Now, Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) is going to be conducted very soon by the state Government, as it is one of the important eligibility conditions to get appointment as Teachers in government schools. Individuals currently appearing in the final year exams of Diploma/ Degree courses on concerned teacher education subjects can also apply.

After examination, candidates securing 60% (minimum 55% for SC/ ST/ CI/ PWDs) and above marks will be eligible to apply for the Schools owned and managed by State Government/ Local Bodies/ Aided institutions. But, this eligibility certificate remains valid for a period of 7 years only, after declaration of result. For other details, go through the below section.
Eligible Qualification to Apply for KARTET Examination
Diploma/ Bachelor Degree holders are eligible to apply for this KARTET exam. The qualification must be obtained from recognized educational institution and council, with pass marks on concerned teacher education subject.
KARTET Examination Details
The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) has two examination papers. Individuals willing to take classes from 1st to 5th standard can apply for the Paper – I and those who wish to apply for Paper – II will take classes for 6th to 8th standard. The exams will be conducted on the same day in different sessions, on OMR sheets.
KARTET Examination and Other Fees
The General/ 2A/ 2B/ 3A/ 3B groups must pay Rs.500/- for any one paper and Rs.800/- for both papers. The SC/ ST/ CI category candidates applying for this recruitment must deposit Rs.250/- for paper – I/ II and Rs.400/- for paper – I&II.
This fee should be deposited in the form of cash in CAC account using system generated State Bank of Mysore Challan form. The KARTET examination fee is exempted for PWD applicants only.
After examination, to get a photocopy of OMR/ Answer sheet applicants should pay Rs.500/- by means of Demand Draft. The bank draft should be drawn from any Nationalized bank in name of “Special Officer CAC, Bangalore” payable at Bangalore.
How to Apply for Karnataka TET Exam 2016
KARTET’s official site is having the blank application form. The steps to be followed for applying through online mode are given below.
- Log on the site “schooleducation.kar.nic.in”.
- Read the instructions and fill the “Registration” part – 1 application.
- Then “Login” to enter your “Personal Details”, using user name and password.
- Also, upload the scanned copies of photograph & signature in JPG format (part – 2).
- Download the fee Challan form for remitting examination fee in bank.
- After depositing fee, log on to the site again and fill the payment details i.e. part – 3 of application.
- If the entered details are correct, click on “Submit” button.
- Take printout copy of confirmation page with registration number and address slip.
- For future reference, keep a copy of registered application and Challan copy with you.
