Indian Navy Recruitment 2017
Indian Navy is one among the branch of Indian Armed Force. It works on and under the surface of ocean, to secure nation’s maritime borders and also to enhance international relations through port visits, humanitarian missions, etc. In response of the newly published job advertisement, Service Selection Board (SSB) will organize different phases of Tests and Interview to hire the knowledgeable and medically fit candidates for the current/ shortfall vacancies in Indian Navy. Depending upon the availability of openings and in the order of All India Merit List, final selection will be done.
The course was going to be commenced on July 2017, in the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala (Kerala state). Initially appointees will be inducted as Cadets and will be educated in Electronics & Communication or Mechanical Engineering streams. During this study, selected candidates will not have to pay any fees. Those who are finishing this course successfully will be awarded with the degree certificate from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Educational Requirement: Candidates who had finished their School level qualification successfully are found eligible to apply for this Permanent Commission vacancies. This education must be studied from any recognized board.

Recruitment Process: From the received applications, depending upon 10th/ 12th (PCM) marks most fitting aspirants shall be invited for an SSB Interview. Intimation regarding this will be sent to shortlisted candidates email id/ mobile number (SMS). Also, no relaxation in Physical standards will be permitted. Mostly to finish the complete selection stages, it will take 3 to 5 days.
- SSB Interview: It has two stages. In the first phase, Intelligence, Picture Perception Tests and Group Discussion will be conducted. Those who are performing well shall only be permitted to participate in the second stage of selection that comprises of Psychological, Group Testing and Interview.
- Medical Examination: Leading performers in SSB Interview round shall be subjected to medical test as per Indian Navy standards.
Salary and Allowances: Aspirants those who are successfully finishing the B.Tech course will be appointed as a Sub Lieutenant in the Indian Navy. Then based on their service period and satisfactory performances, appointees may be promoted upto a rank of Commander.
During this engagement, other allowances like House Rent, Transport, Uniform, Military Service pay, Group Insurance, etc. would also be provided.
- For Sub Lieutenant, Lieutenant and Lieutenant CDR ranks: 15600 – 39100/- and Grade Pay in a range of Rs.5400 – 6600/-
- For Commander post: 37400 – 67000/- and Grade Pay of Rs.8000/-
