Requisite Qualification for Armed Guard Posts
The Ex-servicemen should have passed 10th standard examination with adequate fluency in Tamil Language is eligible to apply for the Armed Guard position. However, candidates who have passed in Higher Secondary examination or any similar qualification are not preferable for this post.
Experience Required for Indian Bank Vacancy
The applicants must have served in “Fighting Arms” in the Indian Army or any equivalent position in Indian Navy/ Air Force. Individuals should have ranked as Havildar or any similar ranks in Navy or Air Force only.
Upper Age Limit for Armed Guard Posts
The upper age limit of the petitioners who are applying for the Armed Guard post should not be more than 45 years. The crucial date for reckoning the age of applicants will be as on 1st July 2016.
Indian Bank Mode of Selection
The job petitions send by the applicants through post shall be received and scrutinized by the screening panels at Indian Bank. Ex-servicemen who seem to be worthy for this post shall be intimated for the Physical fitness test. The physical test comprises of 5 meters shuttle, 13 Pushups and 20 Sit-ups.
Contenders who pass in these rounds shall be invited for the written test (General Knowledge, Simple Arithmetic, Reasoning and Banking questions).
