Indian Bank PO Exam

Graduates who have obtained 60 % marks in their qualifying examination were allowed to apply for the Indian Bank PO Exam. Candidates who are aging between 20 to 28 years were eligible for this Probationary Officer job. As the number of applications received through the online mode is large in number, the applicants should undergo several screening stages.

The selection process involved in Indian Bank Recruitment 2017 is Preliminary, Main exam followed by Personal interview. To minimize the number of candidates appearing for the main exam, this bank will conduct a Preliminary exam. However, the marks obtained in the preliminary will not be considered while preparing the merit list. Exam Pattern for PO Preliminary Exam:

The Preliminary exam comprises of 100 Objective type question from Reasoning, English and quantitative aptitude. This examination will be conducted for duration of 1 hour time only. Except English language, all the other sections will be available in Hindi as well as in English. The PO Preliminary exam pattern for the upcoming exam is tabulated below.

This examination will be conducted through online only. At the time of preliminary test, the question would be displayed on the screen with five multiple choice questions. Candidates have to choose the write option and click the save option. There will be negative marks for each wrong answer. Those who are qualifying in this test are required to appear for Main Examination.

Exam Pattern for Main Examination:

The main examination will also be conducted through online and there will be two parts in this examinations i.e. Objective and descriptive part. The Objective part will comprise of 200 objective type question and 50 marks for English language. This examination will be conducted for a total duration on 2 ½ hours time.

Similarly, there will be negative marks for each wrong answer in this exam also. Right after completing your objective type exam, within 10 or 15 minutes the questions for descriptive test will appear on the screen. Candidates have to type the answers using keyboard. Aspirants who are securing the minimum cut-off marks will be called for interview.

Interview Process:

Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Main examination, the qualifying candidates will be called for the interview. The interview date and time will be communicated later to the selected candidates alone. Those who are performing well in the interview will be included in the final selection list.
