IFGTB Recruitment 2016, Apply for Junior Research Fellow and Field Assistant Vacancies. Institute of Forest Genetics & Tree Breeding (IFGTB) has circulated a nationwide notification to fill the Project based positions of Junior Research Fellow, Research Associate and Field Assistant. This involvement is up-to project duration. About 29 projects were undertaken by this institute. The project period may be extended from 2016 to 2022, depending upon projects. These 30 vacancies are to be filled for Externally Aided Projects (EAP) and PLAN projects. IFGTB will give preference to experienced candidates in research field.

Essential Qualifications for IFGTB Recruitment:
Persons applying for Research Associate position in IFGTB should have completed Ph.D (Chemistry). For Junior Research Fellow post, the minimum eligible qualification is M. Sc or any Post Graduation in concerned fields from recognized institution.
The aspirants deserving to apply for Field Assistant (FA) designation on IFGTB must have passed on 12th in Science/ Biology stream, from any government approved school. Also, individuals holding B. Sc degree in relevant areas or having knowledge in Nursery Technology are desirable (based on projects).
IFGTB Recruitment Desirable Experiences:
Candidates having a research experience of 1 to 3 years in significant fields are preferred for IFGTB Recruitment 2016.
Age Limitations of IFGTB:
IFGTB has curbed the upper age for Junior Research Fellow post as 28 years. He/ She applying for Research Associate designation can have a maximum age of 35 years and the upper age is freezed as 25 years for Field Assistant post. These age limits are computed as on July 1, 2016.
Age relaxations are authorized for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women and Physically Handicapped candidates, as 5 years.
IFGTB’s Mode of Selection:
Preliminary screening is done by IFGTB selection authorities, to shortlist the applicants for Interview process. The Selection Committee will communicate with shortlisted aspirants to appear for interview process. Sometimes, this intimation will also be made through their email id (as given in application form).
He/ She invited for interview should bring a filled-in application form, recent passport size photograph and attested photocopies of necessary documents. Apart from this, they must submit their Original certificates for verification, on the interview date (as intimated by authorities).
Emoluments Given for IFGTB Appointees:
The IFGTB hired individuals will get a consolidated salary, based on projects and designations. Research Associate will receive a monthly salary of Rs.36000/- and Field Assistants will get Rs.8000/- only. The monthly earnings of Junior Research Fellows is from Rs.12000/- to 25000/-, as per project sanction.
