ICF Recruitment 2016 Apply for 487 Apprentices Vacancies. Integral Coach Factory (ICF) owned by Indian Railways has highlighted a notification for Fresher’s and Ex-ITI candidates, to place them in a position of Apprentice under Medical and other trades listed below, for the commencing years 2016 & 2017.

Large numbers of vacancies are available, so aspirants those who have registered their names in Local Employment Exchanges of Tamil Nadu can apply. But, for Ward of Railway employees this registration is not a compulsory one.

ICF Recruitment 2016

The training starts from October 1, 2016 and individuals applying for Medical Apprentices vacancies (MLT – Radiology/ Pathology) would be trained in two batches as October 2016 and April 2017. The apprentices training period varies from 6 months to 3 years, depending upon trades and personnel’s (Ex-ITI / Fresher).

While joining, the appointees will have to sign a Contract of Apprenticeship. If the trainee takes leave continuously without any reason, then such candidates should refund the Cost of Training and Stipend (which they had received) as per rules. Eligible Qualifications for Apprentices Vacancies

The qualifications will vary based on trades and candidates as given below. The basic qualification needed to engage in Medical trades is Higher Secondary (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). For Fitter/ Electrician/ Machinist/ MMV/ PASAA trades, 10th or equivalent with 50% marks from recognized board is the fundamental qualification.

Those who are applying for Carpenter/ Welder/ Painter trades in ICF should have passed 8th standard. The eligible qualification to apply on MMTM trade is 10th (Science and Mathematics) or similar education from government approved school.

The Ex-IIT personnel’s applying under above mentioned trades must possess National Trade Certificate (NTC) in concerned trades issued by National Council for Vocational Training.

ICF Age Criteria

Persons willing to engage as Apprentice in ICF can have a minimum age of 15 years. The aspirants applying for Medical/ PASAA/ Ex-ITI vacancies should not exceed a maximum age of 24 years.

Fresher’s those who wish to undergo training in Welder/ Carpenter/ Painter trades can apply upto a maximum age of 20 years. For all other fresher’s trades, the freezed age is 22 years. These age limits are reckoned as on October 1, 2016. Usual relaxations are applicable to OBC (3 years), SC/ ST (5 years) and PWD (10 years) candidates.

ICF Selection Techniques

Selection Authorities of ICF will go through the received applications and fix weightage based on their marks. Candidates having best academic record shall be given more preference. Also, they should be physically fit as per the standards given in Apprentices Act. The selected candidates must produce valid Medical certificate before joining.

Note: 8th standard aspirants will be considered only if there are no sufficient SSLC applicants.

Stipends of ICF Appointees

The ICF hired aspirants will get stipend per month as Rs.5700/- in first year and Rs.6500/- for second year. Fresher’s undergoing training in the third year shall get Rs.7350/-. It is notable that, for Ex-ITI personnel’s ICF will consider the period of training undergone by them in ITI and fix stipends same as mentioned above.

Fee Payment Mode of ICF

Except SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women applicants, all others should pay a fee of Rs.100/- in a form of Demand Draft/ Indian Postal Order. The application fee for Apprentices recruitment should be drawn in favour of “Assistant Personnel Officer/ ICF” which is payable at Chennai.

ICF Applying Procedure

Eligible candidates can download the prescribed application form given in official website of ICF. The same form can also be obtained from ICF Welfare Centre/ Shell. Fill the form and paste a recent passport size photograph in it.

The completed form in all respects should be enclosed with self signed copies of Educational certificates & mark sheets, NTC certificate, Caste, Disability (if any) and Employment Registration Card/ Demand Draft (as applicable). The railway employees should also attach a copy of Service certificate/ Declaration attested by concerned Gazetted Officer.

Forward these documents through Ordinary Post to “The Assistant Personnel Officer/ G, Integral Coach Factory, Chennai – 600 038” by super scribing the envelope as “Application for Apprenticeship – 2016”. The Railway employees should super scribe the cover as “ward of Railway employee”.

Note: The above mentioned enclosures can also be dropped in a sealed drop box of Assistant Personal Officer, ICF – Chennai.
