Educational Qualification for IBPS Jobs
Aspirers who desire to work as clerk in these banking sectors should hold a degree in any discipline from a university accredited by the government of India or any similar qualification with adequate proficiency in computer operation.
Age Restriction on IBPS Clerk Posts
The minimum age of the applicants should be 18 years and maximum 28 years. The important date for computing the age of the applicants will be as on 1st August 2016.
Age Relaxation shall be granted upto 5 years for SC/ ST/ Domiciles of Jammu & Kashmir State/ Person affected by 1984 riots/ Regular employees of Union Carbide Factory, Bhopal, 3 years for OBC category and 9 years for Widows/ divorced women/ Women separated legally from husband.
Ex-serviceman can get relaxation upto the actual period of service with 3 years in addition and 10 years for PWD candidates as per the existing norms issued by the government.
IBPS Clerk Selection Methodology
With reference to the details provided by the candidates in the online application, the eligible persons will be screened based on their qualifications. The acknowledgement for the online examination will be send through registered email or SMS.
There are two parts in online examination namely, preliminary and main examination. Preliminary examination is conducted mainly to eliminate the number of candidates appearing for the main examination. Contestants, who secure the minimum cutoff marks fixed by IBPS, will be shortlisted for main examination.
However, the preliminary exam marks will not be considered for the final empanelment list. The marks secured by the candidates in the main exam will be a qualifying nature.
IBPS Online Examination Pattern
The online examination will be available in English as well as in Hindi. The total marks allotted for the preliminary examination is 100 and consist of sections like English Language (30), Numerical Ability (35) and Reasoning Ability (35).
In the same manner, for the main examination the questions will be asked from Reasoning (50), English, Aptitude (40), Aptitude (50) General Awareness (40) and computer Knowledge (20) and the exam shall take place for 135 minutes. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
IBPS Clerk Fee payment Mode
The payment can be done using online gateways like Debit card, credit cards, internet banking and cash cards/ Mobile wallets. The appliers belonging to the General and OBC category have to pay Rs.600/- and Rs.100/- for the SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex-Serviceman.

- Go to IBPS’s official site i.e. www.ibps.in.
- Click on the Home Page to open the link “CWE Clerks”.
- Now click on the option “Click Here to Apply for CWE Clerk (CWE-Clerk-VI)” to open the online form.
- Click on the “Click here for New registration” to register their basic information.
- After the registration, a provisional registration number and password will be generated through email and SMS.
- Use this number and password to reopen the saved data.
- Start to fill your personal details and then upload your photo and signature in the mentioned format.
- In the next page, enter the qualification and experience details.
- Before final submission, recheck your entered details twice.
- After checking the details click in the “Final Submit”
- A provisional application form with “fee unpaid” status will be displayed.
- Make the fee payment through payment gateways.
- After the fee payment, a complete e-application form will be generated.
- Download that form and take a printout for future reference.
