Government of India Press Recruitment 2016 Apply for 22 Apprenticeship Training Vacancy. A vacancy notice has been promulgated by Government of India Press with the aim of joining Matriculation level passed students in the Apprentice Training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. This notification was published recently in one of the leading daily newspaper.
The objective of India Press is to train students in the related trade and open the way for employments. The number of vacancies indicated against each trade is provisory which can be adjusted depending upon the existing requirement.

If the applicants aspire to apply for more than one trade, then a separate application for each trade has to be submitted. The selection can be made either by written exam or interview. The chosen candidates have to undergo apprentice training at Government of India Press.

Desirable Qualification for Apprentice
The desirable qualification for the Book Binder trade is 8th standard pass or any equivalent examination from a recognized Board. Similarly, for the other trades the applicants should have passed matriculation level or any similar qualification or 10th Class passed under 10th, +2 system with Physics and Chemistry as one of the subjects.
Age Limit for Apprentices Training
The age of the students must be above 14 years on the date of advertisement publication. The upper age limit of the applicant should not be beyond 19 years.
Apprentice Training Selection Process
With reference to the documents submitted by the candidates, the suitable persons will be shortlisted for written or interview. Depending upon the number of application received, the management will decide to conduct written exam for screening minimum candidates for interview.
Stipend Paid for India Press Apprentice
The qualified candidates shall be put under apprenticeship training for a maximum period of 2 to3 years in their concern trades. During the 1st Years of Training, the apprentice will get 70% of minimum wages of semi-skilled workers, 80 % during the 2nd years and 90% during the 3rd years as notified by respective State or Union Territory.

Type the application on a plain paper clearly and staple the self attested copies of certificates in support of age proof, community and educational qualification.
The envelope holding the documents should be inscribed as “Application for the Post of ___________” at the top. These documents have to reach “The General Manager, Government of India Press, Minto Road, New Delhi 110002” on or before the last date.
