Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment and Sustainable Development (GBPIHED) trumpeted a walk-in-Interview notice over their official web portal and local newspapers regarding the engagement of accomplished, bright and talented person in the vacant positions of JRFS and other posts.

GBPIHED has recently involved in new projects and schemes funded by different agencies. To fulfill their mission successfully, this institute requires talented professionals to handle their new projects. Scholars who have already worked in any research related projects are more preferred for this position.

Candidates with knowledge in Statistical Software, data collection, etc will add an advantage to them. More preference will be given for candidates holding a valid NET qualification. To begin your careers at GBPIHED have to overcome the interview process.

Essential Qualification for GBPIHED Positions

Aspirants who are willing to join as JPF/ JRFs/ Technicians/ Research Associate in GBPIHED should have persuaded First Class Master Degree in Science/ Social Science/ Computer Science/ Economics/ Microbiology/ Geology/ Physics/ Forestry/ Botany or any discipline related to the concern project.

For the Project Manager/ Research Associate Position, the candidate must hold PhD with first Class Masters Degree in Science/ Social or Earth Science with any research paper publication.

The minimum requirement for the Field Attendant post is Intermediate level. To apply for the field assistant post, the minimum qualification is bachelors Degree in Science or Geography.

Experience Details for JRF & other Posts

In addition to the above eligibility conditions, the applicants should be proficient in computer operations and possess work experience in their concern fields.

Research Associate & JPF must have worked in the area of hydrological instrumentation and GIS/ Remote sensing software, Ecological Modelling, etc.

Age Limitations on GBPIHED Vacancies

The age limit for those who are applying for the GBPIHED is already indicated against each post on the above table. This upper age limit is allowed to relax upto 3 years for the OBC category, 5 years for the SC/ ST category and 10 years for the PWD category as per the government norms.

Walk-in-Interview Process for JRF Posts

Eligible aspirants can appear for the walk-in-interview which will be held on the respective date and time given below. The interviewees are asked to produce their original certificate (certificates, testimonials, resume, publication etc) along with one set of hardcopies and application form.

Travel charges will not be paid for the candidates to appear for the interview. The interviewer will judge the interviewee by his/ her attitude, experience, subject knowledge and communication skills.

Salary Details for JRF post

The individuals selected by the GBPIHED selection committee will be engaged on temporary project. While carrying out these projects, the Project manager will obtain a fixed salary of Rs.40000/-, Rs.25000/- for the Technical Expert post, Rs.16000/- for the JPF, Rs.12000/- for the Field Technician and Rs.10000/- for the Field Attendant/ Assistant post.

For the JRF/ JPF positions, the appointees with Net qualification will get a fixed salary of Rs.25000/- , the Non NET –JPFs will get Rs.16000/- per month and Rs.36000 to 38000/- for the research Associate post.

Besides the basic pay, the employees are liable to get House Rent Allowances (HRA) as per the norms of GBPIHED.

Those who are interested to attend the Walk-in-Interview have to submit an application form in advance to confirm their presence for the interview. Send the neatly typed application form to the Administrative Officer by e-mail .
