Academic Profile for FTII Vacancies
Individuals who are eager to apply for FTII Vacancies for the designation of Associate Professor must have completed graduate/ Master’s degree in the concerned discipline from any recognized University. Bachelor’s degree is required for the position of Controller (Production).
Applicants for the post of Advisor should have possessed MBA/ Master’s Degree/ Diploma/ equivalent under the fields of Film Studies/ Mass Communication/ Journalism. Possession of HSC or equivalent qualification is needed for the position of Demonstrator (Cinematography).
Experience Requirements for FTII Vacancies

Age Criteria for FTII Recruitment

Emoluments for FTII Designees
Persons who are suitable for the FTII jobs are appointed and they will accept the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100/- per month for the post of Associate Professor, Controller and Advisor. And also the appointees for the position of Demonstrator will receive the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/-.
In addition to that, they will be provided with grade pay ranging from Rs.2400 to 6600/- for all the above mentioned positions. Besides the basic pay and grade pay, they will draw the travel allowance, HRA and dearness allowance.
How to Attend Walk-In Interview

Necessary Qualification for FTII Positions
Any Degree with Diploma in Television Production/ Motion Picture Photography/ Screenplay Writing/ Film Editing/ Sound Engineering or Master Degree or M.Sc in Physics with Electronics or Wireless as the major subjects with ample knowledge in Film and TV medium in India and abroad are eligible to apply for the Group ‘A’ posts.
Bidders holding Master’s Degree in Journalism/ Communication/ Social Sciences or Economics from an accredited university with knowledge in library science are suitable for Group B Posts
For the Group C Position, the applicants must have completed Matriculation level or equivalent from a well known board or institution.
Experience Required for FTII Vacancy
The candidates applying for Group ‘A’ post must have undergone professional experience including managerial or teaching experience for a period of 2 to 10 years.
In the same manner, the candidates who are applying for the Research Assistant Post should hold 2 years of experience in data collection/ reference/ documentation, etc. for the group ‘C’ posts the applicants must possess two years of experience in floor works, arrangement of lights for film, etc.
Age Relaxation on 17 FTII Posts
The lower age limit set for this recruitment is 18 years. The upper age limit is already mentioned against each position on the table. This limitations can be allowed upto relax upto 3 years for OBC category and 5 years for the SC/ ST/ domiciles of Jammu & Kashmir category.
The higher age limits for the general widow/ divorced/ women judicially separated from their husbands are freezed to 35 years, 40 years for SC/ ST and 38 years for the OBC (NCL) candidates. The age of the applicant will be considered as on the last date of receipt of application.
FTII Recruitment Process
After validating the documents submitted by the applicants through post, the deserving candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview or Written exam. The person who has applied for the Group ‘A’ post should take part in the interview process alone and written exam is for the rest of the positions.
Conveyance allowance will be provided for SC/ ST candidates to appear for the interview. Based on the performance in written test/ Interview the final selection list will be prepared.
Written Exam Pattern for FTII Jobs

Pay Scale for FTII Designees
The selectees will be designated on regular positions at FTII, Pune. The monthly salary for the appointees working below the group A posts will be paid as per the pay scale of Rs.15600 to 39100/- per month with the grade pay between Rs.5400 to 7600/- .
For the Group C posts, the designees shall receive remuneration as per the scale of Rs.9300 to 34800/- pm with grade pay of Rs.4200/- and Rs.5200 to 20200/- pm with grade pay between Rs.1800 to 1900/- as per the decree of FTII.

Supplicants should remit the application fee in the form of Demand Draft (DD).
