There are totally 130 existing and expected vacancies in various positions like Clerk, typist, Peon, gardener, Guard, etc. The candidates will be selected for these posts on the basis of Written Exam, typing/Skill test and personal interview.

Eligibility Criteria to apply for Burdwan Recruitment 2016:
The candidates who are applying for the Stenographer, clerk and Typist post must have passed Madhyamik or any equivalent examination from a recognized board and must hold a computer training certificate from a recognized institute with speed typing skills.
For the process server, Guard and farash positions, the applicant should have passed Class VIII from any well known school or Madrasah.
Individuals who are applying for the Guard post should be physically fit and healthy.
Those who are applying for the gardener and Sweeper must be able to read and write in Bengali language.
Age Constraints on Burdwan Vacancies 2016:
The age limit should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on the date 1st January 2016 for all the post. The age relaxation is upto 5 years for the SC/ST category and 3 years for the OBC category candidates. The upper age limit for the physically challenged candidate is fixed to 45 years.
Ex-servicemen will get age relaxation as per the government norms. There is no age limit for the person who is already holding a permanent typist post under the government.
Short-listing process pursued in Burdwan Recruitment 2016:
The candidate shall be selected for these positions by the screening process like Written Exam, Skill test and Personality test.
For the LDC post there are two parts of examination i.e. Part-I and Part-II. The part-I consist of 100 one mark questions (English, General Studies, and Arithmetic) and will be deducted 1 mark for each wrong answer. The marks allotted are 100 marks and will be conducted for duration of 1 ½ hours.
After clearing the Part- I exam, candidates have to appear for the part-II exam for 100 mark (duration 1 hour). The person who clears the part-II exam shall appear for the personality which carries 10 marks. The final selection will be made based on the total marks obtained.
The candidates applying for the typist-copyist position should attend the preliminary exam which consists of objective type questions (English, Current Affairs) and the duration will be one hour.
Qualified candidates have to appear for the main exam (typing test) where the candidates need to type 450 words in 15 minutes. The selected candidates have to undergo a computer operation test for 10 marks.
For the stenographer post, the individuals should qualify in 3 parts of examination. The 1st part will be a Dictation & Transcription type exam for 400 marks. The 2nd part consists of general English for 100 marks (1 ½ hours) and the 3rd part is a typing based test where the candidates have to bring their own typing machine.
The overall marks in 3 parts of exam, computer operation and personality test will be computed and the final list of selected candidates will be prepared.
The candidates for the process server post will be selected on the basis of total marks obtained in written and personality test.
Selection of Sweeper and Gardener will be made by personal interview.
Pay Scale for 130 Stenographer and Clerk Vacancies:
The person working as a Stenographer will get a salary of Rs. 7100-37600/- with the grade pay of Rs.3900/- per month. A monthly salary of Rs.5400-25200/- per month with a Grade Pay of Rs.2300-2600/- will be paid for the posts of LDC and Typist. A monthly salary of Rs.4900-16200/- along with a Grade Pay of Rs.1700/- will be paid per month for the remaining posts. In addition to this pay the employee will get allowances as per the government norms.
Fee payment for Burdwan Stenographer and Clerk Vacancies:
The application fee must be made by means of online modes like debit cards/credit cards, net banking etc. The application fee for general candidates who are applying Sl.No. 1 to 3 posts is R.250/- and Rs.50/– for the candidate belonging to the SC/ST category.
The general candidates applying for the Sl.No 4 to 10 post should pay Rs.150/- and Rs.25/- for the SC/ST category candidates.
