Qualification for Project Fellow & Research Posts
To apply for this Project Fellow posts, the applicants must have completed M.Sc/ M.Sc-Tech in Geophysics/ Physics/Seismology/ Earthquake Engineering/ Geoinformatics or any similar qualification from a recognized institute/ university.
Candidates who wish to work as Research Associate should hold PhD in Geophysics/Seismology and must have published his/ her research in their relevant subject in SCI (Science Citation Index) Journal with desirable Knowledge in Seismological field setup, data analysis and interpretation.
Age Confinement on CSIR 4PI Positions
The age of the candidates who are applying for the Project Fellow position is curbed to 28 years and 35 years for the Research Associate Posts. Age Relaxation is permissible upto 3 years for the OBC category and 5 years for the SC/ ST category as per the terms and conditions of Government and CSIR.
The age limit of the applicant will be computed as on 10th July 2016.
CSIR 4PI’s Screening Process
The document send through the email will be verified by the screening committee and the shortlisted persons will be intimated for the test/ interview through mail only.
Conveyance charge will not be paid by the CSIR 4PI to appear for the recruitment. Based on the performance of the individuals in the test/ interview, the final empanelment list will be prepared.
Remuneration for CSIR 4PI Posts
The staffs appointed as Project Fellow on contractual basis will get a remuneration of Rs.16000/- per month and Rs.36000/- for the Research Associate posts.
Apart from the basic salary, the appointees shall be entitled for House Rent Allowances (HRA) as per the CSIR 4PI orders.

CSIR 4PI expects the candidates to possess knowledge in the field of Broadband Seismic Data Analysis, Ground Motion Modelling, Geophysical fieldwork, Earthquake hazard, vulnerability and risk Assessment.
