Essential Qualifications for CPCB Recruitment
Indian nationals those who had accomplished Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s Degree in relevant disciplines from recognized university are eligible to apply. These qualifications will differ based on position you apply.
For Junior Technician post, the essential qualification is 10th pass with ITI certificate (Mechanical/ Instrumentation/ Electronics) from recognized board or institute. Higher Secondary or equivalent is the basic qualification needed for Data Entry Operator posts and also they should possess enough typing speed (8000 words per hour).
Apart from Degree, both Typing (40 w.p.m.) and Shorthand (100 w.p.m.) skills are also essential for Stenographer position. Candidates willing to apply for Driver posts should have passed 8th / 10th from recognized school. Also, they must possess valid driving licence (for light & heavy vehicles) with knowledge in motor mechanism.
Experience Details to apply on CPCB
Aspirants those who had acquired 1 to 5 years of working experience in related fields from any reputed firms, can apply for CPCB vacant posts. Indian nationals desiring to engage on Deputation basis posts should have obtained experiences from Central/ State Government/ Union Territory Admn./ NCR/ Autonomous/ Statutory bodies.

CPCB Post Age Limitations
Individuals applying against Scientist ‘B’ position should not exceed a maximum age of 35 years and for Junior Scientific Assistant/ Senior Technician/ Accounts Assistant posts the upper age is capped as 30 years. For all other positions under Direct Recruitment, the ceiling age is 27 years.
Persons willing to engage on Deputation basis designations should not be more than 56 years of age. CPCB authorities will reckon upper age limits as on last date for receipt of applications. But, as per existing government norms the SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWDs/ Ex-Servicemen would get relaxations in upper age.
Selection Process of CPCB
The selection process of CPCB has two stages which are Written/ Skill Test and Interview. If the forwarded applications were found in order and eligible, then only such aspirants shall be invited for selection process. Individuals maintaining higher marks in recruitment process will only get appointed to concerned posts.
Remunerations of CPCB Appointees
CPCB has allotted monthly salary on the basis of designations. Candidates appointed on Scientist ‘B’/ Senior Law Officer/ Law Officer Positions shall be offered with a salary of Rs.15600 – 39100/- as per Pay Band – 3.
Aspirants joining as Junior Laboratory Assistant/ Junior Technician/ Data Entry Operator/ Stenographer/ Driver in CPCB will get Pay Band – 1 salary of Rs.5200 – 20200/-. All other appointees would get salary in the range of Rs.9300 – 34800/- i.e. as per Pay Band – 2.
Apart from these Pay Bands, the selected persons will also get monthly Grade Pay from Rs.1900 – 7600/- (varies based on designations). Other allowances and benefits may also applicable as per CPCB rules.
