Preferable Qualifications for OMC Recruitment:

Applier’s for OMC Recruitment 2016 should have the following qualifications. Applicants for the positions of Tradesman Mate and Fireman under group ‘c’ should have completed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized university or board.

Physical Test for Tradesman and Fireman:

Candidates who are applying for the post of Fireman should hold some of the physical measurements. It includes the candidates should have a height of 165 Cms, Chest (unexpanded) of 81.5 Cms, Chest (expanded) of 85 Cms and weight of 50 Kgs.

Aspirant should be able to run 1.6 Km in 6 minutes, carrying a man of 63.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 Meters within 96 seconds, climbing 3 meters in a vertical rope using hands, feet and long jump with 2.7 meters.

For the post of Tradesman Mate, candidates should run 1.5 Km in 6 minutes, carrying a weight of 50 Kgs to a distance of 200 meter in 100 seconds.

Age Constrains for Tradesman and Fireman:

General category candidates applying for the above mentioned positions in OMC should have their age limit between 18-25 years. OBC candidates should have the age limit between 18-28 years. ST candidates should possess their age limit between 18-30 years.

OMC Recruitment Selection Procedure:

Candidates are selected based on the marks obtained in written examination. Central Government employees should submit ‘No Objection certificate’ during the time of Selection. No travel or dearness allowance is admissible for the attendees.

Examination pattern for Vacant Positions:

The question papers of written test will be in bilingual that is English and Hindi. Questions are in the form of objective. Question paper consists of four sections which include General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness.

Totally 150 marks is allotted for the examination. Out of which 50 marks is granted for first two parts and 100 marks is assigned for the last two parts. The duration of the examination is 2 hours.

Wages for Tradesman and Fireman in OMC:

Designees for the positions of Tradesman Mate and Fireman will receive a pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/-. Additionally for the post of Tradesman Mate, appointees will get the grade pay of Rs.1800/- and Fireman will receive Rs.1900/- as grade pay.
