Essential Qualification for CUG Posts

Bidders who are applying for the CUG Posts must have completed Master’s Degree/ Bachelor’s Degree/ MBBS/ Graduate degree/ M.Sc/ B.Sc/ BCA/ B.Tech/ BE/ Diploma/ M.Lib in respective discipline or 10th/ 12th pass from a recognized university/ Institute/ Board.

Prior Work Experience for CUG Posts

To apply for the CUG Posts, the applicants should hold minimum 2 to 15 years of prior work experience in their concerned specialty.

Age Limitation on CUG Vacancies

The upper age limit for the CUG Vacancies is already mentioned against each designation on the table. The age of the applicants shall be calculated as on the last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation can be granted upto 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ ST and 10 years for PWD category as per the norms issued by the government.

CUG Selection Process

The application received from the applicants will be verified on the basis of qualification and work experience. Candidates who seemed to be suitable shall be called for the interview.

The to and fro charges will not be paid for contestants who are appearing for the interview. Based on individual’s performance, the final decision for selection will be made.  If needed, CUG will conduct a written test for shortlisting minimum number of contestants for interview.

Pay Scale for CUG Appointees

The salary provided for the Sl.No. 1 to 5 posts will be as per the pay scale of Rs.37400 to 67000/- pm with grade pay between Rs.8000 to 10000/-, Rs.15600 to 39100/- pm with grade pay between Rs.5400 to 7600/- for Sl.No.6 to 14, Rs.9300 to 34800/- pm with grade between Rs.4200 to 4600/- and Rs.5200 to 20200/- pm with grade pay between Rs.1800 to 2800/- for the remaining CUG Appointees.

CUG Application Fee

The general category applicants should deposit an application fee of Rs.500/- and Rs.250/- for OBC in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, Central University of Gujarat” from any nationalized bank and payable at Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad Branch only. Other category applicants are exempted from fee payment.
