Educational Requirements for JRF Position

Individuals who aspire to work as Junior Research Fellows should have completed BE/ B.Tech in Electronics/ ECE/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ EEE/ Computer Science/ Aeronautics/ Mechanical Engineering and should hold a valid score card.

Nonetheless, the desired qualification for this position is Post graduation degree in ME/ M.Tech (in any of the above disciplines).

Upper Age Limit for JRFs

The upper age limit for the general category candidates is freezed to 28 years, 33 years for the SC/ ST Category and 31 years for the candidates belonging to Non- Creamy layer of OBC category.

Procedures for Selecting 32 JRFs

The supporting documents have to be send by the candidates through the post. The applications received will be validated by the selection committee at CABS on the basis of marks secured by them in degree and GATE/ NET score.

The screened candidates shall be acknowledged about the interview time, place and date through speed post or email. The candidates have to produce their original documents at the time of interview.

The interviewer will scrutinize the interviewee by his/ her way of communication, experience, work skills, etc. the finally selected candidates name list will be displayed on the notice board on the same date itself and also on the DRDO website.

Stipend for JRF Positions

The selected candidates will be appointed as JRFs at Bengaluru initially for a period of 2 years but can be extended upto one year by means of satisfactory service of the appointees.

During this tenure, the JRFs will receive a stipend of Rs.25000/- per month and are permissible for House Rent Allowance and other benefits.
