AFRI Recruitment 2016 Walk-in for Junior Research Fellow Vacancy. Arid Forest Research Institute (AFRI) located in Jodhpur has unfolded a Walk-in Drive notice to fulfill the openings of JRF, Project Fellow and Field Assistant posts. Candidates willing to engage on ad-hoc basis in forestry research projects undertaken by this institute can apply.
About 13 projects are in hands of AFRI, in which eleven projects are ICFRE funded projects and the other two are Rajasthan Forest Department funded projects. The engagement period varies depending upon projects (i.e. in-between 5 months – March 2022).

The candidates selected for Field Assistant/ Field Fellow positions will do field-oriented works and mostly they shall have to travel across the world based on their job requirements. Essential Qualifications for AFRI Jobs
Aspirants willing to engage as JRF/ Project Fellow in AFRI must have accomplished M.Sc and the desirable qualification for Field Assistant post is B.Sc. These qualifications must be obtained from any government approved college in relevant fields.
It is notable that, persons applying for JRF position should have secured first class marks in their Post Graduation and atleast 55% marks for Project Fellow designation.
AFRI Recruitment Desirable Experiences
Individuals applying against Junior Research Fellow positions should possess experience in field experiments and data entry work in computer (essential only for some projects). For Project Fellow designation, about 2 years of research experience is a desirable thing.
AFRI Age Limits
Candidates satisfying the above mentioned eligible qualification can arrive for Walk-in Drive, but the upper age should not be more than 28 years as on August 1, 2016. This maximum age is relaxable for SC/ ST/ Woman & PH aspirants (5 years) and OBCs (3 years), as per AFRI rules.
Selection Procedure of AFRI
AFRI has scheduled a Walk-in Interview, inorder to fulfill the vacant posts of Junior Research Fellow, Project Fellow and Field Assistant. Those who are coming for interview should keep their original and self attested copies of certificates with them. Individuals having good academic record and knowledge shall get appointed to respective posts on ad-hoc basis.
Remunerations of AFRI Appointees
Candidates chosen for Junior Research Fellow/ Field Assistant or Field Fellow positions will be provided with a consolidated salary of Rs.12000/-. For Field Assistant job, the institute has fixed a salary of Rs.7000/- and he/ she hired for Project Fellow post shall get Rs.14000/- per month.
Apart from the above mentioned salary, the JRF/ Project Fellow and Field Assistant or Field Fellow appointees would get 20% of House Rent Allowances (HRA).

Aspirants those who wish to attend AFRI’s Walk-in Interview should produce their Resume and original & self signed copies of credentials like Educational Qualification certificates & mark sheets, Experience (if any), Age proof, Caste, Disability/ NOC (if any), etc. infront of Selection Team for verification, on interview date.
Note: Individuals arriving for interview should report one hour before the scheduled time in concerned venue.
